Help Us Win £5,000 worth of Books for Our School Library
Would you like to help our school library win over 700 new books? National Book tokens are offering one lucky UK school a very big book token – worth £5000! All we need are nominations; the more we have, the higher our chance of winning. What’s more, you could win a £100 book token for yourself if your nomination is picked out. If you would like to help us be in with a greater chance of winning this wonderful prize for our students, please spare a few seconds to nominate us here before the deadline of 31stJuly 2019.
The library at Levenshulme High School is a busy hub of learning and reading. Gaining a strong vocabulary through reading helps students in all subjects, not just English, and research has shown that those who read independently at secondary school achieve higher grades in Maths as well as English. Reading is hugely beneficial to students for a host of other reasons too, including improved mental health, greater understanding of history and culture and enriching imaginations. Our library is already stocked with a wide range of books to suit all interests and abilities; winning this prize would enable us to make it even better!
“One of the most exciting parts of my job is choosing new books that I know our students will enjoy and benefit from. Winning this generous prize would be a dream come true, allowing us to buy over 700 new books for our pupils to read, borrow and love.”
