Everyone at Levenshulme High School is delighted by and incredibly proud of the GCSE results of the class of 2017.
The class of 2017 are a record breaking year and the wonderful results are testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of our school community; congratulations and thanks are given to students and staff alike for the work which has gone in to realising these great achievements.
Our provisional Attainment 8 score of 50.57 is excellent and recognises excellent attainment across a range of subjects.
We are delighted to see an increase of 8% from last year to the percentage of students who have attained Grade 4 or above in both English and mathematics (formerly Grade C or above). 63% of the class of 2017 achieving this key outcome in the new, strengthened, GCSEs in English and maths.
Levenshulme High School is very proud of its longstanding excellent record in performance in the EBacc suite of subjects; the class of 2017 continues this outstanding record with 46% of the cohort attaining the required grades for this important performance indicator.
22% of the class of 2017 achieved 5 or more of the top grades (A*-A or 9-7) – this is a wonderful achievement of which we are all very proud.
In the following 18 subjects, Levenshulme High School’s class of 2017 achieved better results than girls nationally (aged 16) at the Grade C/4 or above grade boundary! – Art, Additional Science, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computing, English Literature, French, Geography, History, ICT, Physics, Core Science, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Photography and Urdu.
