Careers and COVID
Due to the ongoing pandemic our planned CEIAG activities were revised and adjusted to virtual experiences so our students can still engage with their career’s education. This involved working with our CEIAG partners and developing a virtual programme of events, information sessions, online career fair, motivational talks and employability skills week that support our provision.
As the current Government guideline still emphasises on social distancing our main priority remains the safety of all our staff and students. To ensure this we were unable to offer some of the experiences referred to in our Careers plan. However, our Careers team is working hard to bring all the career opportunities on a virtual platform into classroom learning and meeting the Gatsby benchmarks. Our CEAIG provision is reviewed on a regular basis and planning has taken place in light of the pandemic.
