Executive Headteacher Recognised for Contributions to the Local Community ( Published: 15/02/2019)
The awards were presented by, and held at, the iconic British Muslim Heritage Centre (BMHC) in Whalley Range, which saw representatives from across the local area come together to celebrate and recognise local people who have made significant contributions to the community.
Patsy Kane’s outstanding service to education has been recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours list for 2019. She is due to receive her OBE (Order of the British Empire) award at Buckingham Palace later this month (February 2019).
The special celebration dinner, ‘Honouring the Honourable’, also saw the Chair of the Board of Trustee of the British Muslim Heritage Centre, Mr Nasar Mahmood, recognised for his recent OBE award, for his work in the local community.
