Social Communication Pathway Workshops for Parents and Carers ( Published: 06/06/2025)

The Social Communication Pathway (SCP) is the local autism assessment service in Manchester. The SCP team is a multi-agency team which assesses social communication difficulties in children and young people living in Manchester. The SCP are running a number of workshops to help support parents and carers.

Workshops

All of these workshops are available for FREE:

  1. Understanding Neurodiversity and Wellbeing
    South Manchester, 2nd July 2025, 10am – 2pm
  2. Understanding Sensory Differences
  3. Understanding Communication Differences
  4. Understanding and Working with the Education System
    South Manchester, 10th July 2015, 10am – 12.30pm (primary school parents/carers)

These sessions are delivered by qualified practitioners in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology, and Educational Psychology and are available at different locations across Manchester.


Booking Your Place

Anyone in Manchester with a child or young person currently waiting for an autism assessment with one of the Manchester SCP teams (North, Central, South), or diagnosed autistic in the past or recently by one of the Manchester SCP teams, can book a place.
