Year 7 Explore Chester Zoo ( Published: 03/11/2026)
As part of our whole-school cultural capital programme, the Science Faculty took over 200 Year 7 students on a fantastic visit to Chester Zoo.
The visit brought classroom science to life as pupils explored animal adaptations, evolution and biodiversity. Through interactive adaptation and evolution workshops and animal encounters, pupils discovered how animals survive in their environments and why protecting wildlife matters. These experiences provided an exciting introduction to the Ecology (7C) and Variation (7D) units they will study in the summer term.
We are so proud of the whole year group for demonstrating respect for the environment and working together to make the day enjoyable for everyone. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, strengthen friendships and create lasting memories.
