Careers Week 2026

Highlights from Careers Week 2026 ( Published: 24/03/2026)

Careers Week 2026 was filled with inspiring activities, workshops, and guest speakers.

Throughout the week, our teachers helped students understand how their subjects connect to real-life careers. During lessons, staff highlighted a range of careers linked to their subjects, and in Focus Time, many teachers also shared their own personal career journeys – helping students see the real-world opportunities connected to their studies.

We were delighted to welcome back several alumni. Ayesha, now a successful lawyer and CEO of her own law firm, shared her career story and encouraged students to aim high. Amna from GM Higher delivered an engaging Social Media Effect workshop with our Year 10 Business Studies students, focusing on how digital platforms shape business today. We were also privileged to have Dr Anwar, who spoke about her career in medicine and led a session with our budding doctors.

Our Year 10 students also took part in a Preparing for the Future session, which focused on developing key communication skills and learning how to present themselves confidently, as they get ready for their upcoming work experience and move towards Year 11.

Careers Week provided valuable insight, inspiration, and guidance – helping students understand the many pathways available to them and motivating them to think about their future goals.
