UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge Success ( Published: 12/02/2026)
On Wednesday 28th January 2026, students from Years 9 and 10 were given the opportunity to take part in the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. The competition is designed to test mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency. It is a nationally recognised competition with prestigious prizes awarded to those who are up to the challenge.
This competition really is challenging. The style of questioning is very different to what students will be used to in lessons and previous exams, and asks a lot of their reasoning and problem-solving skills. It’s a great experience for all of the students who took part and those who were able to achieve an award should be hugely proud of themselves.
