Dear Parents/Carers
Half Term 4 of 2025/26 has finished and, as promised, it is time to write to you and send you a short video.
On our video, you will see some lovely images of Multicultural Day, which has been an amazing way to celebrate the end of the Spring Term. The idea of the day is to explore/express identity and all the students and staff have loved dressing in non-uniform today in clothing that is important on a personal level.
A section of the video focuses on our Community Iftar on the 5th of March 2026. In addition, a group of our staff had the pleasure to visit the Madina Mosque in Levenshulme the following week. Having received an invitation from Mosque leaders, I was delighted that seven members of staff joined me on a tour, for a series of talks and to share a delicious Iftar. It was a lovely community moment. Several local organisations attended, including police and community centres, and it was great to have a group of staff representing the whole of Levenshulme High School.
Year 11 are entering the most critical moment of their school careers. We have an array of revision sessions on over Easter. Thank you to staff for the giving of their holiday time to support. When we return after Easter, there are just two and a half weeks until the final GCSE exam season starts. On behalf of everyone in the LHS community, the best of luck Year 11. Work hard and you will get the outcomes that you deserve.
Wishing everyone a brilliant two-week holiday. Happy Easter to all. Spring is a lovely moment of renewal so please enjoy. And please do watch our accompanying video for further updates. See you on the 20th of April.
Thank you for all your support,
Mr Fair, Headteacher
